The short version

FrameMath separates Local Tools from Online Translation. Local Tools process files entirely in your browser. When you explicitly use Google Cloud Translation, only the subtitle text needed for that request is transmitted — never your video or audio file. FrameMath does not intentionally store subtitle content.

What we do collect

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage: which pages are visited, from what country, on what kind of device. This data is anonymous and aggregated; we cannot identify you from it. Analytics cookies are only set as described by Google's own policies.

Advertising

FrameMath is free and supported by advertising. We may display ads served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. These networks may use cookies to show ads relevant to your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com.

Your files and text

Local Tools (including the script timer, subtitle converter, TXT/DOCX matching and subtitle export) run client-side. Files you select are read by JavaScript in your browser and are not uploaded. Closing the tab removes the working copy.

Online Translation with Google Cloud

Online translation is currently paused while the service is being configured. When it becomes available, it will be clearly labeled before any text leaves your browser.

If you click the Google translation button, FrameMath sends the subtitle text, selected source language and target language to api.framemath.com over HTTPS, which forwards that text to Google Cloud Translation. The API does not need or accept video/audio uploads and is designed not to save request content. Google processes the text to return the translation. Operational metadata such as request time, approximate usage, error type and an abuse-prevention identifier may be retained without subtitle text.
